The world's leading manufacturer of navigation devices Garmin, has produced two new action cameras Virb X and Virb XE. Virb X and Virb XE are small and lightweight, but extremely sturdy and functional cameras. Both cameras are special because they have a new form factor which increases the number of mounting options, wide angle lenses and support for recording high-quality video.
Virb X and Virb XE have G - Metrix technology with embedded Garmin GPS and gyro and accelerometer sensors that follow your movements in real time, and displays them in an impressive gauges and charts. It also offers support for OBD tools with Bluetooth for capturing vehicle – related data.
WiFi allows you to connect the camera with Virb Mobile application on tablets and smartphones.
The cameras have a waterproof design and can withstand water immersion up to 50 m depth. The glass lens is hydrophobic, which helps to not retain water droplets on the lens.
Although they have almost the same features, Virb X and Virb XE are different in recording capabilities. While Virb XE recorded in resolution 1400 / 30p and has image stabilization, Virb X can record only in resolution 1080 / 60p, but both take pictures of the 12MP.
