In 1994 South African builders Robertson and Caine have entered into partnership with a global Yacht charter company, The Moorings, in order to design special catamarans for their charter fleet. Thus, as a fruit of the collaboration came out Leopard catamarans, one of the most popular lines of catamarans on the market. One such catamaran, Leopard 48, was presented to public at the end of 2013, picking up very good reviews and several valuable awards. Leopard 48 is characterized by elegance, modern lines and an open floor plan.
As with the previous model Leopard 44, Leopard 48 features a large cockpit / saloon area covered with hardtop with solar panels. Large sliding glass door leads into the cockpit. Cockpit is dominated by sharp, modern lines and light tones. On port side is placed large corner galley with most modern appliances. On the starboard is a large U shaped settee with a nice dining table. Leopard 48 also has two outdoor salons, bow and stern. The bow salon is connected with main cockpit by glass doors. Bow salon is ideal for sunbathing and relaxation and is covered with hard bimini. The aft cockpit has a large plastic dining table with wrap around U shaped settee.
On the starboard, above the main cockpit, is located wheelhouse. Position of the wheelhouse and comfortable seat provides great visibility and excellent comfort, while all engine controls and navigation instruments are within reach for skipper. Also, all the ropes and sheets of sails are escorted to the wheelhouse and wisely organized thanks to Spinlock clutches and Lewmar winches.
Leopard 48 has four large double bed cabins with bathrooms and showers, which ensure maximum comfort and quality of living aboard.
