When planning a sailing or cruising, it is important to choose the right category, type and length of the boat that fits your needs and requirements. Choosing of boat for charter is not the easiest thing in the world, but it is not difficult as it may seem.

Choosing of boats depends on several factors. The number of passengers is among the important because it will affect the further procedure. By the number of passengers you will know how much cabins and beds you need on board, and if you hire a skipper, cook or hostess do not forget the additional crew cabin. Age of the boat is also an important factor. Mainly boats built five to eight years ago are considered as new, while those built eight or more years ago are considered as the old ones and it can have a powerful effect on prices. A further is choosing type of boat, and in our offer of boat for charter we have sailboats, catamarans, motor yachts and gulets.

Also one of the important factors is your budget. Prices of sailboats are generally more accessible, while motor yachts require more expenses. Boat charter generally operates from Saturday to Saturday and all prices and discounts were thus formed. At the end of the year and the beginning of new for the upcoming season are offered first minute discounts on charter price usually up to 15%, then last minute discounts for bookings a week or two before departure, and many other discounts depending on the charter. At the beginning of the season prices are the lowest, and how approaches the most wanted dates, prices grows, sometimes up to 3 times. In Croatia, for example season of swimming and warm weather starts in late May and last until early October, so if you have a limited budget should be considered about preseason or postseason.

Sailboats are the most popular types of boats for charter. Sailboats are ideal for family vacations and spending time with friends, but also for regattas and recreation. During sailing on sailboat, there is no engine noise, just the sound of the sea, the wind in hair and good company where you can enjoy all day. Sailboats have low fuel consumption, but require more experience and management skills. It certainly suggests that people who plan to rent a sailboat without skipper complete several courses in sailing school until feel they have enough confidence for independent navigation.

If you're more a fan of motor drive compared to drive wind, your choice of boat charter are smaller motor boats, large motors yachts, super yachts or speedboats. Their names imply a luxurious and elegant navigation, mainly crewed. Motor boats and yachts are faster and more comfortable than the sailboats, and require minimal skills, but are expensive for rent and have larger fuel consumption.

Catamarans have recently become very popular and required type of vessels because of its width and outer space which is hard to change with other types of vessels. Catamarans are characterized by two hulls, high comfort, and low fuel consumption. Catamarans also offer plenty of space under the deck, comfort and privacy and therefore are excellent for families and larger groups. Catamarans have a low draft which allows getting closer to many beautiful bays and beaches.

Gulets are wooden motor sailboats that provide maximum comfort and full service to guests, so they are often compared with hotels. In the past they served for transportation of goods and cargo, and today, changing its old look and purpose, provides a new dimension of cruising and vacation. Luxury gulets can accommodate 8 to 34 people in 4 to 16 cabins with private toilets, showers and its own crew. The most popular destinations for gullets cruising are certainly Croatia, Turkey, Greece and Spain.

We wish you good sailing and calm seas...
