Before each sailing you need to thoroughly inspect the vessel, ensuring that the engine works property, that there is no leaks oil or petrol. Old missiles and batteries should never be thrown in the sea, but in the designated places in marinas. You should be careful when you refuel the vessel at gas stations, because part of the fuel can leak into the sea.
During the sailing is strictly forbidden to throw waste into the sea. In almost all marinas are tanks and garbage containers. Marine toilets can’t be used in marinas and coves, unless the boat has a black tank. As in the Adriatic only a few marinas have devices for black tanks flushing, they can be discharged on the open sea far from the coast.
The Adriatic Sea is one of the purest and highest qualitied of all world seas, and to keep it that way we need to constantly work on its preservation.
