Blue Cave is located on the eastern side of the island Biševo, in the bay Balun. The Blue Cave is one of the most attractively natural beauties of the Adriatic Sea and a popular tourist attraction because of the blue light that fills the cave during the day.

Blue Cave was originally only available to divers, and is open for the public in 1884 by perforating the outer entrance providing access to small boats and dinghies in the cave. The natural entrance to the cave, located on southern side, is much wider and through it penetrates the sunlight.

Blue Cave is about 24 meters long, a deep from 10 to 12 m. Best time for visiting Blue Cave is around noon, at that time the sunlight reflects through the water coming from the white floor of the cave and bathes the grotto in aquamarine light, while objects in the water appear to be silver. The cave is annually visited by over 10,000 tourists that are usually transported by organized tourist boats from the island of Vis.

We wish you safe sailing and calm seas...
