Lagoon 42 is fruit of successful cooperation between the French designer Patrick Le Quement and naval architects from VPLP firm. Lagoon 42 is characterized by a strong personality, elegant silhouette and modern design. Construction of Lagoon 42 is infusion and injection molding thereby to reduce weight and optimize the structure.
Mast is being moved further stern which provides easier using of self-tacking jib, larger foretriangle for downwind sailing and shorter boom for easier maneuvering. The deck is nice and neatly organized which facilitates the smooth circulation from the stern to the bow. On the stern is a nice outdoor salon with a small dinette on the starboard and bearing for relaxing and sunbathing on the port. Port is situated raised wheelhouse that provides excellent visibility and direct communication with the cockpit and saloon. The wheelhouse is protected by a hard top, and there is enough space for three people.
Glazed glass doors lead from the stern to spacious cockpit / salon characterized by comfort and excellent space utilization. U shaped galley is two-part, on the port are two fridges, while on the starboard are placed other galley elements. Spacious corner set with a large dining table can accommodate up to ten people, and serves as headquarter for the navigation station next to it. Lagoon 42 is offered in versions with 3 cabins / 3 bathrooms with showers and 4 cabins / 4 bathrooms with showers. All cabins are extremely large, with double beds and plenty of storage space for stuff and wardrobe.
