Like for every trip, therefore for sailing is important to have a valid passport or identity card and license for managing a rented boat, if you own it. We recommend that you don’t carry large suitcases because they are impractical and will occupy a lot of space on the board, so better pack your things into smaller travel bags or backpacks.
Wondering what kind of clothes to take? It is important to take with you light, airy and bright clothes and not to exaggerate with the amount because the storage space on board is limited. All you need is a few T-shirt, a pair of summer shorts, pants for swimming, underwear and some formal attire if you will have lunch or dinner at restaurants on the mainland. Also, bring a light raincoat or windbreaker in case of rain or wind. Although you will most of the time on board be barefoot or in flip-flops, bring sneakers or shoes for the mainland. Bed linen and towels are mainly included in the price, but bring your own beach towel. Personal hygiene items such as soap and shower gel are not included in the price, so be sure to buy them on the time. While most boats have bimini on deck, it would be good to have a baseball cap and sunglasses. Be sure to bring along a protective sunscreen and lip balm.
Regarding of food, we recommend that you buy the food a longer shelf life and to take enough drinking water. Nutritionists generally recommend consuming of light meals during the summer. Make sure you buy delicious seasonal vegetables and fruits, cereals, pasta, fish and light meat like chicken or turkey. Buy snacks and sweets for children. Daily foods such as fresh bread, rolls and milk you can buy in the shops in most Dalmatian places where you will dock with your sailboat, catamatran or yacht.
From other supplies and equipment be sure to bring cell phone and charger. To perpetuate beautiful and funny moments on sailing, bring along a waterproof camera. To kill boredom and leisure will be useful social games or some interesting book.
