Motovun

Motovun is a small town built on a hill, conical in shape and is located at 277 meters above sea level. Gentler slope of the southern and western slopes of the hill as possible is quite large vineyards.

Because of the proximity to the sea, air in Motovun is mild, and snow is rare in this area. The soil of the valley of the river Mirna and the high plateaus in the Motovun area rich in minerals are very favorable for the development of agriculture. For this reason, the vine thrives very well here. The grapes are processed into very high quality wines from which prevail Teran, Malvasia and Muscat.
