Volcanic Mother Nature has formed a dramatic landscape with rocky sea formations of various colors and shapes for which the Milos is known around the world.

The largest town and the administrative center of the island is Plaka, a small town situated on a cliff above the island's port. The city is characterized by the traditional white Cycladic houses with blue doors and windows and very narrow streets, so it is impossible to drive the car around the town. The main port on the island is Adamas, located in a large natural Gulf, one of the best Gulfs on the Mediterranean. Around Plaka and Adamas there are several beautiful churches and towns are full of souvenir shops, taverns and cafes.

Milos is an island with most beaches in the Cyclades archipelago, and all of them are very attractive and neat. One of the most impressive beaches of the island Milos are Papafragas and Sarakiniko, located in the immediate vicinity of the town of Plaka. Milos also has an airport which connects island with Athens and Thessaloniki. Milos is one of the most popular islands of the Cyclades archipelago and inevitable destination for a large number of sailors.
