The main town on the island is Zakynthos located in the bay on the eastern side of the island. Zakynthos is a picturesque town full of cultural and historical monuments, restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops. 4 km from the city center is located an airport. The southern part of the Zakynthos port is intended for the mooring of charter boats. Along the northeast coast of Zakynthos lies a range of beautiful Blue caves, which emerge from the sea and adorned by a sky blue color and healing water full of minerals and calcium.

Although a relatively small island Zakynthos boasts a large number of beautiful beaches and bays around which resides the large number of sea turtles.
