DAY 1: From Tivat to islet Stradioni or marina Porto Montenegro

Tivat is a small town on the southwestern part of Montenegro, in the center of the Bay of Kotor. Thanks to its attractive location and close to the airport, Tivat is one of the most popular tourist destinations of Montenegro and the most beautiful nautical ports of the southern part of Adriatic. In Tivat is located a small charming marina Solila. Marina Solila is located on the peninsula of Lušćica in the Gulf of Tivat, close to the sea lagoon and the special nature reserve of Tivat Solila. Within the marina there is parking, restaurant with beach bar and night club and beautiful sandy beach. Departure from the marina is mainly around 17:00 h, so as the first stop we recommend the nearby island of Sveti Marko (Stradioti) or free mooring in the beautiful marina Porto Montenegro in Tivat center. Next day set the sails towards city of Budva.

DAY 2: From islet Stradioni or marina Porto Montenegro to the town of Budva

Budva is Montenegrin town and municipality, situated on the Adriatic coast, 90 km south of Dubrovnik. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Montenegro, with the fact that almost 40% of Montenegrin overnight stays were realized in Budva. Budva is considered one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic Sea, founded in the 5th century BC. The trademark of Budva is medieval old part of town located on a small peninsula. The Old Town walls dating back to Venetian times and among them are settled picturesque streets, squares and towers. What most attract tourists in Budva is certainly clear sea, rich tourist and gastronomic offer and crazy nightlife. Budva is adorned with no less than 17 beautiful beaches. In the center of Budva is located marina Budva with a capacity of 530 berths.

You can also visit the nearby island of St. Nicholas, only 1km away from Budva. The island is covered with Mediterranean plants and shrubs, adorned by three nice and tidy sandy beaches. After all-day enjoyment and overnight stay in Budva, 3rd day continue the route to Bar.

DAY 3: From town of Budva to the town of Bar

On the south of Montenegro lies Bar, the largest town and port of the Montenegrin coast. Bar is the popular tourist destination of Montenegro. Bar is a town of rich and interesting history, evidenced by archaeological sites from the Neolithic, and the first written mention of the town dates back to 6th century. Town of Bar consists of two parts: Old and New Bar. The famous Old Bar is situated at the foot of the mountain of Rumija. It has a number of valuable medieval churches and monasteries and the Citadel. The New Bar is beautiful and stylish with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Bar has several neat and beautiful sandy beaches surrounded by Mediterranean nature. In the center of the Bay of Bar, there is a large marina Bar with 900 berths and plenty of additional facilities. After a relaxing night in Bar, in the morning sail towards Bigova bay.

DAY 4: From town of Bar to the village and bay of Bigova

Bigova (Bigovo) is a picturesque village located in the same name bay, in the southeastern part of Trašte bay. A former fishing village, today it is mainly devoted to tourism. Bigova adorn the rocky beaches and crystal clear waters. The bay is protected from strong winds and is therefore very popular among sailors. Bigova has one market and two restaurants. You can tie to buoys or on the dock if there is free place. After a rest in this picturesque bay, the fifth day set route to the town of Kotor.

DAY 5: From Bigova bay to the town of Kotor

Sailing among one of the most beautiful bays in the world, the Bay of Kotor, you will come to the famous Montenegrin city of Kotor, which is situated in the northeastern part of the bay. Kotor is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities of the Adriatic Sea. Kotor is an ancient city of rich history, founded between the 10th and 12th centuries BC. Thanks to four centuries long Venetian rule, Kotor is dominated by typical Venetian architecture, which makes it unique. Kotor is one of the most visited destinations in Montenegro, and the main reason for this is the valuable cultural heritage that made Kotor protected by UNESCO. Particularly famous is the Old Town of Kotor, surrounded by 4 km long walls. Kotor is a vibrant city with many shops and boutiques, restaurants, cafes, night bars. Kotor port has 200 berths for boats up to 50 m long and the western part of the bay is suitable for anchoring. In the morning, set your route navigation to Herceg Novi.

DAY 6: From town of Kotor to the town of Herceg Novi

Apart from Kotor, the Bay of Kotor has many other hidden pearls worth knowing. Particularly interesting are the medieval towns of Dobrota, Kotor, Risan. In front of the Perast coast there are two small islands, Our Lady of the Rocks with the chapel from the 19th century and the island of St. George with Benedictine monastery from the 12th century.

Herceg Novi is a city and municipality of the Montenegrin coast, located at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. The city was founded and built by the Bosnian king Tvrtko l. in 1328. Thanks to the domination and influence of different nations through history, the city is a mix of different architectural styles. With the fortress and cascades of the Old Town, it offers a magnificent view of the bay of Kotor. Old Town is a unique architectural ensemble, built stepwise with two big markets and intersected by narrow streets and stairs. Herceg Novi is usually a quiet city, but like any major tourist destination has a variety of shops, restaurants, taverns and cafes. Herceg Novi port offers around 30 berths for yachts of up to 25 m, on the part of the waterfront, which is sheltered by a breakwater. On 7th day route ends where it started, in Tivat.

DAY 7: From town of Herceg Novi to Tivat

Upon your return to Tivat, take time to explore the rich tourist offer of this picturesque city. Though it is the youngest city in bay of Kotor, it is rich with lot of valuable and interesting attractions. Particularly interesting are renaissance mansion Buca, Miholjska prevlaka (island of flowers), the city park, Gornja Lastva with the old part and many other attractions. Tivat has several neat and attractive beaches and the most famous are Plavi horizonti (Blue Horizons), Kalardovo, Palma and Solila. It is also worth mentioning the magnificent marina Porto Montenegro with its luxurious hotel complex.
