About the Course

Our Regatta Sailing Course is designed for sailors who want to go beyond cruising and confidently step into competitive sailing. This hands-on, action-packed program refines skills, teaches teamwork under pressure, and shows how to handle a performance yacht in real regatta conditions.

The course prepares participants for independent sailing and successful participation in regattas, combining advanced manoeuvres, tactical decision-making, and the excitement of racing.

What You’ll Learn

During this intensive training, participants will:

• Master the use of large sails such as spinnakers and gennakers
• Practice race starts, tactics, and strategy
• Train for night sailing and offshore conditions
• Join a real regatta at the end of the course

The program includes manoeuvres, sail changes, and exercises simulating real race scenarios — preparing participants for the dynamic challenges of competitive sailing.

Course Structure

Day 1 – Arrival & Preparation

• Welcome and orientation with your skipper/instructor
• Boat familiarization and safety briefing
• Overview of the regatta program and race strategy

Training & Race Preparation

• Daily sailing sessions focused on teamwork, trim, and manoeuvres
• Spinnaker/gennaker practice, race starts, and mark roundings
• Transfer to regatta location, race registration, and pre-race checks

Regatta & Final Day

• Active participation in the regatta under instructor guidance
• Apply all learned skills in real racing conditions
• Post-race debriefing, evening social event, and award ceremony
• Return sail and final training session en route back to base
