Regulations regarding visas and travel documents

Nationals of most countries do not require a visa for visits less than 90 days. For full details of current visa requirements, see the following website: Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. If a visa is required, it is advisable to obtain it in advance. If visa is required, it is preferred for it to be requested in advance. Nationals of member states of European Economic area have the right to stay in Croatia for up to three months with a valid passport or an ID card, while third country nationals must have a valid passport.

Customs regulations

Croatian customs regulations are almost completely harmonized with the customs regulations and standards of the EU. Foreign and local currency may be freely taken in and out of country. However, the mandatory is application to the customs office for the import or export of cash from EUR 10,000.00 or more. Foreign nationals are exempt from payment of customs duties when entering their personal luggage and commercial goods, which as travelers from abroad entries into the customs territory of Republic of Croatia in its personal luggage. Goods in the personal luggage implies items of personal use only, necessary for the traveler time of its trip and absences outside the place of permanent residence, such as footwear, clothes and hygienic necessities. All radio transceivers must be declared and an operator's permit produced.

Pets

Dogs and cats require a veterinary certificate showing that the animal has been inoculated against rabies between 15 days and six months previously.
